Starting Tuesday 4/3/2007,  two gentlemen will be conducting a door to door survey asking questions about each household's septic system. DEP (Act 537) requires a door to door survey of at least 15% of the houses in the municipality be surveyed. The names of the men are Tony Licardi and Frank Fotino. They will have cards identifying them and they have been hired by McGoey and Hauser. This survey should take about 2 weeks.

We are asking for assistance from all Matamoras residents, for your help in keeping all fire hydrants near your homes or businesses clear of all snow. If you are unable to clear a nearby hydrant, please send us an e-mail - at matamorasema@yahoo.com indicating the address of the blocked hydrant. The Matamoras Fire Department thanks you for your help.

During the installation of water mains, there will be issues with the conditions of the roads. If anyone notices exceptionally bad conditions in specific areas on the roads, please notify the Water Company at (570) 491-2715.

Any additional isolated boil advisories will be hand delivered or posted on the customers doors and posted on this web site.
